Charlevoix Cottage

Situated on the shores of Lake Charlevoix in Michigan, this beloved second-generation family cottage was ready for its next chapter. Our goal was to honor the history of the home while thoughtfully updating it for an active young family and the way they gather today. We began with a few favorite heirlooms, meaningful art pieces, and treasured antiques, then reimagined the interiors around them. The client’s love of a soft, neutral palette keeps the focus where it belongs—on the stunning lake views just beyond every window.

One of our favorite spaces is the porch, designed for long summer afternoons and evening cocktails. Each wicker piece was individually hand-selected from a local vintage dealer, creating a collected and comfortable setting that feels as timeless as the home itself. The result is a relaxed and welcoming retreat where old memories are honored and new ones are ready to be made.
