FAVORITE FINDS: ENGLAND EDITION

Ann Prince Interiors

December 2023

I love to travel and especially love a trip that combines the culture of an international city and the relaxation of the rural countryside. I was in London and the Cotswolds recently and wanted to share a few of my favorite things.

EAT

Chutney Mary’s

There are so many Indian restaurants in London but this one came highly recommended by those in the know. We loved everything about it from the festive atmosphere to the incredible food and sitting at the community table in the Pukka Bar. I can't wait to go back!

TOUR

Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel Exhibit at the Victoria & Albert

This exhibition charts the establishment of the House of CHANEL which continues to influence the way women dress today. The "rainbow" of day suits! The dinner pajamas! The evening gowns! Pro tip: This exhibit is sold out but if you become a member of the V&A you get complimentary access.

STAY

Thyme in Southrop, England

This restored Cotswolds manor and farm is the kind of place where you relax the second you get there. The outpost of buildings - mostly manor houses that are hundreds of years old - are beautifully restored and decorated. The property is a working organic farm and dinner at the Ox Barn incorporates vegetables harvested that day.

My all veg dinner was incredible!

SHOP

Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler

This Pimlico Road interior design firm (founded in the 1930s) and showroom is the best of the best. I wanted every single thing from the antiques to the most comfortable custom furniture. And I'm currently trying to figure out the paint formula in this "Nancy Lancaster" yellow room...
